IN-SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP

Application Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must:
  1. be a Fijian citizen;
  2. be ordinarily resident in Fiji for at least three (3) years before the award commencement date unless determined by the Board or delegated authority on case-by-case basis;
  3. be employed and remain in employment during the course of the sponsorship.
  4. have applied in the Inservice Scholarship priority;
  5. be nominated by the respective Permanent Secretary or Head of the organisation for sponsorship;
  6. secure a place at an eligible institution by means of a final offer letter; and
  7. must be being fully vaccinated or exempted by Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
Required Documents for the Application
The following must be submitted by the applicant as part of their application:
  1. final offer letter from an eligible institution of first choice in a priority area;
  2. birth certificate;
  3. letter from FRCS stating the student’s tax identification number, or FRCS and Fiji National Provident Fund joint card;
  4. recent passport-size photo;
  5. evidence of applicant being fully vaccinated or exempted by Ministry of Health and Medical Services;
  6. such other documents as may be requested by TSLS.

Scholarship Privileges

Students awarded the In-Service Scholarship Scheme are entitled to the following benefits:
  1. Tuition Fee (As per bills raised by the HEI’s).
  2. General service/enrolment fees as billed by the Higher Education Institutions;
How to Apply
  1. Scan and get all the required documents ready before starting the process of applying online in the pdf, png, or jpg format. File size should not exceed 5MB.
  2. Visit www.tsls.com.fj and register for TSLS online application by creating your own email address using Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail.
  3. Once registered fill in the appropriate information and upload all the required documents.
  4. Submit the online application by checking in the declaration.
  5. Check your landing page on the status and progress of your application. 
  6. Students will not be able to submit the online application unless all mandatory fields are filled (With the exception of final programme offer letter from the eligible institutions).
  7. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered for assessment.
Students applying online will be able to log in and check the application status at any time and also print and upload the TSLS Offer Letter, Bond Form and download their confirmation letter online.

Submitting a completed application package does not guarantee approval.

Assessment & Notification of Scholarship
  1. TSLS shall be responsible for assessment of applications against the set criteria.
  2. TSLS may seek further information to verify details submitted by the applicant.
  3. All application will go through an extensive review and TSLS’s decision shall be final and cannot be appealed.
  4. Official indication of being granted a sponsorship is the receipt of the award confirmation letter from TSLS.
Scholarship Acceptance Dead Line
  1.  All Scholarship offered must be accepted within 7 days from the date stated in the Provisional In-Service Scholarship Scheme Offer Letter.
  2.  Offers not accepted by the deadline will be declined.
  3.  To accept the offer, applicants must sign and upload the Provisional Offer Letter and Bond Form on their Landing Page (Application Portal).
