Scholarships for Hardship Assistance Scheme (1000 Awards)

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must:

  • Be a Fiji citizen.
  • Be ordinarily resident in Fiji for at least three (3) years before the award commencement date unless determined by the Service or delegated authority on a case-by-case basis.
  • Have attempted year one (1) studies privately and have at least attained a 50% pass rate.
  • Be enrolled for a Diploma Level 5 or Higher Education Level 7 programmes at an eligible institution.
  • Submit programme audit which confirms that you have attempted year one (1) studies as per full academic load requirement.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student on full academic load and not be engaged in any form of employment.
  • Not be an existing TSLS sponsored/funded student or sponsored through any other agency.
  • Not be on an existing bond service.
  • Not have a combined parental income of more than $150,000 or business net profit of more than $20,000 unless allowed by means testing.
