Scheme Details

Scholarships for Masters & PhD by Research Scheme – 30 Awards (20 for Masters (15 Local and 5 in New Zealand) and 10 for PhD (7 Local and 3 in New Zealand)).

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must:

  • Be a Fiji citizen.
  • Be ordinarily resident in Fiji for at least three (3) years before the award commencement date unless determined by the Service.
  • Have the research proposal approved and obtain a candidature confirmation letter for full time mode unless determined by the Service or arranged with employer.
  • Demonstrate the direct and applied relevance of the research study towards Fiji’s workforce needs and development.
  • Be less than 50 years of age at the time of application.
  • Not be an existing TSLS sponsored student or graduate (on active bond service) or sponsored through any other agency.
