Scholarships for Merit Based Higher Education – Level 7 Local Scheme

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a Fiji citizen.
  • Be ordinarily resident in Fiji for at least three (3) years before the award commencement date unless determined by the Service or delegated authority on a case-by-case basis.
  • Be in Year 13 in 2024 or such equivalent studies as determined by TSLS at the time of application.
  • An applicant who has completed Foundation Studies is not eligible to apply for the Scheme.
  • An applicant who has repeated Year 13 in 2024 or prior is not eligible to apply for the Scheme except for MBBS. An applicant who has repeated Year 13 in 2024 or prior and applies for MBBS must have scored 250 plus in the first attempt in Year 13, and 365 plus in the subsequent attempt.
  • Secure a place at an eligible institution by means of a final offer letter.

    Aggregate score of 320/400 in Year 13 with a pass in English and the area specialization subjects.
    For MBBS: Cut-Off will be 340 in Year 13 (First Attempt), Repeaters – Cut-Off will be 365.
    For Nursing: Cut-Off will be 300 in Year 13.
