The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) begins nationwide school visits from 17th September 2024 to 4th October 2024 to create scholarship awareness to Year 12 and Year 13 students.

The approval has been granted by the Permanent Secretary for Education, Ms Selina Kuruleca and schools have been notified of the visit dates. The visit will be for two weeks covering urban, rural and maritime schools.

This is an Annual Event of TSLS to create awareness with the potential recipients of the Government scholarships.

This is an addition to the nationwide awareness for Principals, Careers Teachers and Student Representatives. The Principals, Careers Teachers and Student Representative Awareness Workshop was officially opened by the Honourable Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro on 21st August 2024 at Swami Vivekananda College in Nadi for schools in Sigatoka, Nadi and Lautoka followed by the similar awareness workshop at Tavua college on 22nd August 2024 for schools in Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki and for the Central Division schools at Saint Joseph Secondary School on 11th September 2024.  For Vanua Levu schools, same workshop concluded on 13th September 2024.

TSLS encourages the teachers and the students to attend the awareness workshop to obtain complete information on various schemes of Fiji Government scholarships to make informed decision. The visit will also educate the potential recipients on the scholarship application and approval process.

The Chief Executive Officer of TSLS, Dr Hasmukh Lal encourages the public interested in scholarships to access readily available 2025 Scholarship Awareness Handbook from the website and the social media platforms.
