Merit Based Skills Qualification Scheme

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must:

  1. be a Fiji citizen.
  2. be ordinarily resident in Fiji for at least three (3) years before the award commencement date unless determined by the Board or delegated authority on case-by-case basis.
  3. have completed and passed at least Year 13 Examination in 2023 with a minimum score of 250/400 or 240/400 if from rural and maritime school or equivalent as determined by TSLS. An applicant who has completed Foundation Studies and repeats Year 13 is not eligible to apply for the Scheme or;
  4. have completed and passed at least Year 12 Examination in 2023 with a minimum score of 270/400 or 260/400 if from rural and maritime school or equivalent as determined by TSLS.
  5. secure a place at an eligible institution by means of a final offer letter.
